Scope of Works: Installation of BIOSAM sewage treatment plant to serve a busy landmark pub & restaurant at Inch, Gorey, Co. Wexford. The requirement was to replace and upgrade the existing sewage treatment system to meet the Wexford County Council discharge guidelines to permit direct discharge into the nearby Inch River. Typical projected flows into the plant used for design were approximately 23m3/day.
Discharge Standard Required: BOD - 10mg/l
Suspended Solids - 10mg/l
Ammonia as N - 4mg/l
Nitrates as N - 11-15mg/l
Total Nitrogen as N - 15-20mg/l
Total Phosphates as P - <2mg/l
Plant Supplied: Grundfos forward feed pumping station, 1no BIOSAM- AMMONIA modular 125 person treatment plant, and upward flow clarifier. The Biosam treatment plant incorporates a primary tank, followed by Ammonia reduction module, Denitrification module, aeration, final settlement and upward flow clarifier. The treated effluent then flows into the nearby Inch river to the rear of the site.
