Scope of Works: Installation of Forward Feed Pumping Station, BIOSAM sewage treatment plant, and foul water storage tank and release mechanism to serve a housing development at Skerries Road, Rush, Co. Dublin. The population equivalent is approximately 1600 persons. The plant has been designed in a manner to allow for the phasing in of the population over a period of 3 years in 4 phases. One of the conditions permitting this development to proceed is that the sewage is treated on site, then stored on site until late evening when the treated water is released automatically into the nearby County Council sewer. This is a temporary arrangement until the main sewage works at Portrane/Donabate is upgraded.

Discharge Standard Required: BOD - 20mg/l
Suspended Solids - 30mg/l
Plant Supplied: Grundfos forward feed pumping station serving whole development, 1no BIOSAM modular 1600 person treatment plant, flow measurement and sampling chamber, concrete holding tank (below ground) and timer controlled actuator valve. The Biosam treatment plant incorporates a multiple primary, aeration, and final settlement tanks whilst occupying a footprint of only 21metres x 18metres.
