“Managed, Modern & Mobile” FM Environmental has, for over 30 years, provided a skilled and professional service to the pumping and wastewater industry. In Northern Ireland it operates regional service centres in Armagh, Fermanagh, Tyrone, Derry and Down as well as at its head office in Newry. In the Republic of Ireland it has service centres in Monaghan, Carlow and Limerick with its fleet of 18 service vehicles providing comprehensive cover of the entire island of Ireland.
FM Environmental knowledge of the pump and wastewater industry in Northern Ireland is second to none. Its custom-built service and repair factory facilitates light and heavy mechanical repairs and fabrication as well as motor rewinding, electrical repair work, control panel modifications, and pump testing and fault-diagnosis. FM Environmental has been granted the status of Warranty Partner in Ireland for Grundfos Pumps, one of the world’s biggest water and wastewater pump manufacturers, while it is also a stockist and approved service partner for ABS, Hidrostal, Caprari and Desman pumps. It is now an ATEX-certified electrical motor repair company allowing it to undertake the repair and testing of explosion-proof pumps and motors. Atex equipment is the term used when referring to equipment for use in explosive atmospheres. When it comes to repairing this type of equipment the procedures followed are those laid down by the association of electrical and mechanical trades. The person carrying out the repair must have attended an A.E.M.T. course and hold a current certificate for this, it has to be renewed every three years. The repair report changes from a single sheet to a ten page legal document which must be kept by the company for ten years after the repair. The manufactures drawings, atex certificate and schedule should be available to the repairer for repairs to certificate. If these are not available, the relevant guidelines in IEC 60079-19: 2006 or BSE 60079-19: 2007 shall be followed. The standards appropriate to the motor shall be available before work commences, eg flame path gaps for Exd motors are covered in IEC 60079-1.

In addition, all service and installation vehicles are equipped with Garmin Sat-Navs further ensuring a rapid and efficient response to planned and emergency installation and repair work. In short, FM Environmental provides a managed and modern nation-wide service to the pump and wastewater industry. |
