 Blower for Sewage Treatment Plant
FM Environmental provides a range of centrefugal and roots-type blowers for most aeration requirements.
These can be provided in accoustic, sound-proof covers with blower capabilities of up to 7000m3 per hour. |
 LUTOS BLOWERS
Two rotors with a mutual contrary sense of rotation are coupled with a tri-lobe impeller. The transported medium is on the suction side of the box gradually enclosed by rotation of the rotors in the chambers (formed by two lobes) and an internal surface of the box. With the rotation, the medium is transported to the delivery side of the chamber. The pressure on the delivery is dependant on resistances of the piping and connected equipment. Upon further rotation the chambers gradually open to the delivery space and as a result of the higher pressure in the delivery space there is a reflux back to the chambers, so-called pulsation, till the moment of the pressure equalisation/pressurising in both spaces. Compared to the two-lobe impeller, the three-lobes provide lower pulsation on the delivery side. |
The pair of gears ensures a synchronous touch-free run of both rotors.
Thus the rotors are in no need for lubrication and the transported medium is not contaminated by the grease or abrasion. |
 APPLICATIONS - General
Blowers are used for the transportation and compression or extraction of gas in vertical or horizontal position. Because the rotors do not come in contact with each other or the case itself, the transported medium is not polluted by oil during the haulage.
Both air or non-corrosive gases can be transported, if needed. For work in explosive environment, work with gases of greater humidity, or work with corrosive gases, it is necessary to use blowers or whole sets designed and manufactured especially for these purposes (e.g. packed, bypass-fitted, with control sensor, or subject to ATEX categorisation according to appropriate class and zone).
