BIOFILTER Package Treatment Plants
The BIOFILTER is a three stage purification process employing an aerobic biological principle serving populations of 7 and over. The system is ideal for single house and small communities. Low maintenance requirements and power consumption enable BIOFILTER installations to provide a cost effective answer to the environmental pollution problem.
For difficult sites, the BIOFILTER can be supplied with a final effluent pump and alarm option. This gives greater flexibility and allows disposal of the final effluent to sub-soil irrigation or to a mound percolation system. Designed in accordance with BS6297 and certified by the Irish Agrement Board, the BIOFILTER system will meet consent standards of 20mg/L BOD, 30mg/L SS or better when appropriately sized and properly maintained. Careful consideration in design has been given for easy and safe access for desludging, pump maintenance and for inspection purposes.

The Biofilter range of plants (Models 1-4) are used for domestic applications, small housing development (< 8 houses) small office and retail developments and amenity applications. The Biofilter unit employs a trickling filter design and offers a simple, robust biological treatment process well suited to irregular loading patterns. The plants are single GRP units and make for compact and straight-forward installation. |
